On MickyMoody's point, us parents have organised specialised groups which offer holiday cover for the weeks we cannot take off work, so we don't leave them home alone as he puts it.

When a strike/illness/whatever happens and forces a day without school or care then we either have to beg for an emergency day off from our employer, take time off if we are self-employed (which would be unpaid) or just run around trying to get someone to help.

But then he wouldn't know about that neither having offspring or a job.

Once again the ignorance, and the misunderstanding, I have two stepchildren. now in their 20's...but brought up by me from the age of 6 and 7, Yes I took on a single Mother, and supported her and her children. And I'm still with her, all these years down the line.

So you middle class types, say OHHH NOOO!!! My child has a day off school, how will I cope? WHAT DO YOU DO in the summer holidays to look after your child, if it's such a big deal for a DAY?

I have offspring, not my own, but I nurtured them, and I've worked most of my adult life, are you claiming that 'class is better than the scum', or do you feel socially better than me, as Mummy pays the bills? What a t*at! What would your position be if you were sacked tomorrow?
