Looking into building an open porch but would like it clad in a grey composite.
Anyone have any pointers or pictures?
Would it look better clad vertically or horizontally?
This is what we are going for but not in wood.

Horizontally to match the garage door

Is that the actual house?

I don't understand building an open porch but cladding it.

Anyhow, it's not a case of which looks better or matching a garage door. Vertical and horizontal look fundamentally different and look different with different profiles too.

Vertical is more contemporary, but some profiles are not suitable.

The position and size of openings also affect the appearance of the cladding.

You need to find some pictures of the same type of porch on the same type of house, or get some renders done.

That's the style we want but would stop where the garage is as that would be the side of our house.

Open as in the front and sides but has a roof and the cladding just on the wood frame including the posts.
