Cleaned the Carpet

Hi

This weekend we cleaned the carpet in the living room (which we will be getting rid of in the future for hardwood), but until then we wanted clean carpet.

Our problem is this:

The carpet which is <5 years old has now stretched a bit from the super-suction of the carper extacter.
How do we remove these waves in the carpeting?

Between Sunday night and Monday evening, the waves seemed to flatten out on their own.

Probably 'cos it dried out and shrank.
