Cleaning brickwork

Can anyone recommend a method of cleaning the brickwork on my house. Please see an example in the attached photo. Thanks.

Thats efflorescence, and only dry brushing will clear it - but it will take years if at all
 
With any applied liquid, the salts are re-absorbed back into the brick or mortar, and then reappear as the moisture evaporates
 
There are some salt neutralisers out there, but again they tend to only be a temporary fix and some of that looks like it might be staining rather than actual efflorescence. Wire brush might well be your best bet, but don't go too heavy on it.
 
Efflorescence needs to be scrubbed off with, say an 8" heavy duty hard bristle scrubbing brush.
Dont use a wire brush or you will end up making things worse. Thats a foolish suggestion.
Dont use any liquids or chemical concoctions either, they too will make things worse.
 
It's efflorescence season. As soon as the Spring weather warms, the white blooms appear with the daffodils.
