Cleaning lap sealant

Managed to smear some of this onto my fascia earlier today. I then tried to wipe it off with soapy water and because it was wet, it kept spreading and worsening. I left it at the time.

It’s now dried and wondering how I can remove this?

Meths or isopropyl alcohol are mentioned a lot. However, if the fascia boards are painted with water based paint, the solvents may remove the paint. If they were painted with oil based paints, you will be fine.

It’s a white plastic fascia. Will try methylated spirit tomorrow.
