clearance measurements for fitting gas hob

need to plan where to put gas hob in kitchen design,need clearance measurements,can anyone help plz? will of course get corgi man to do it but not at that stage yet.

You need to take into consideration clearance both above the hob (at least 700mm) and also to the sides of the hob.

If it's going to be a flat run of worktop then it should be fine almost anywhere. You need to make sure that it's not too close to any full height units or walls though. I think the recommended clearance is something like 50cm either side.

:D thanks angry nugget most helpful. :rolleyes: THANKS johnD,not sure what divvy no-mark cowboys you normally reply to but i'm not one of them. would have looked at manufacturers instructions had i bought a hob yet.i'm trying to make a plan of the kitchen layout.you know the plan ahead bit.had a designer from Howdens come to plan it and she tried to put the extractor flue through an RSJ,so i'm designing it myself hence the question. i'm not warrior316 either,i'm his WIFE. :LOL:
