Close-coupled vent and f&e pipe positions ?

Many thanks for your helpful responses and apologies for late reply, have been away.

The boiler is not Neon, it is a Xeon 50 by Saunier Duval. Here is the link:-

This spec' confirms that the vent and feed tees are the wrong way round.
I am happy to reverse them but just wonder if it is going to make a big difference, given that the two tees are only some 8cm apart ?

Where is the pic you promised? It will save asking detailed questions about the exact layout. ;)

Do you have an automatic air valve on the feed from motorized valve to HW cylinder?

Your boiler does have an overheat device so you could cut off the open ventpipe and cap it leaving an upstand with an air vent fitted to allow for easier filling and venting of the system and use the existing 22mm cold feed which will now be a combined feed and vent. You must make sure that this pipe does not have any shutoff valves fitted(gate valves etc).

As I see it it's a standard Y plan system, Close coupled feed & vent, BUT the Feed & Vent have been installed in the wrong order, a couple of people have said it, all it needs is the two pipes swapped over (about 1 hour at the most) was all the Seal the system rot its not nessecary
