Lots of the more select pubs wouldn't even serve cider, let alone snakebite. Now cider is everywhere and even trendy.

yes , but the pubs I went to, not to mention spit bucket ones, served cider, but if you ask for a snakebite you get refused, well they did in my day. mind you they did sell shots, which is just as potent.
