Coal fired back boiler

im looking to install a dunsley coal fire with a built in back boiler soley to heat radiators.
Should i use an open vented system?? is it relatively easy to do??

you will get a shock if you dont use an open vent

difficult depends on exactly what you want to do

Your Solid fuel installation would need to be notified to LABC under Building regs part L1, you should consult a HETAS Registered Installer for advice, YOU CANNOT USE A SEALED SYSTEM for solid fuel only Open Vented types should be installed, the specification for a Solid fuel system differs from oil & gas ,due to the reduced control over heat input
