Coal fired back boiler

im looking to install a dunsley coal fire with a built in back boiler soley to heat radiators.
Should i use an open vented system?? is it relatively easy to do??

Your Solid fuel installation would need to be notified to LABC under Building regs part L1, you should consult a HETAS Registered Installer for advice, YOU CANNOT USE A SEALED SYSTEM for solid fuel only Open Vented types should be installed, the specification for a Solid fuel system differs from oil & gas ,due to the reduced control over heat input :wink:
