Help please I am a newby to this forum so hi to everyone My problem I have a Isor m310100 had a new pcb fitted last month the third since buying this heap of junk a new also gas valve and electrode I have just put heating on and after a while boiler starts to bang pressure fluctuates between 1.5 bar to 2 codes flash H- A then boiler stops - appears then back to C and the boiler works ok for a while then the whole process will start again I have recently taken a radiator of to decorate the rad which has no thermostats valves on but have replaced it
could it have anything to do with that

Guess what - the pcb is buggered. Had that myself. Several times. Ideal chappie came out and said the fault indicated a fan problem. Ended up replacing that and the pcb and something else. At which point I cut me losses and got a new boiler. Suggest you consider the same before more pain and cash is expended.

Gnore that last post HA is an overheat code so either you have an airlock at boiler or pump possibly gubbed. Does it work on hw ok?
Do you still have a bypass rad or are all your rads shut.
HA is defo overheat so look at circulation in system and boiler

Shambolic hi...just had it on for 1 hour been ok,I bled all rads earlier and opend up both valves fully on the rad that had been of , could only partialy opening them cause a restriction to cause an over heat

Shambolic p.s the hw works fine the bypass rad i think you mention is the one i took off, although it is back now ,this is the one which i opened up the 2 valves fully as they were only partialy open when i replaced rad and it has no thermostat valves

Just a tip for you if you're eating thru pcbs. Check you have less than 6v on the main neutral. The boards don't like that. I'm sure shambolic will back me up on that :-)

Apart from what shambolic has said, could also have been DV stuck in HW mode.

Had this a few times.

Thanks to all it seems ok now I think it was the valves not opend enough As for the pcb useage i will mention that to engineer next time it goes but these boilers are cr** mine has broken every year since purchase my mum and an aunt got the same within a month of mine in 2001 theirs have been no better tip to anyone reading ideal boilers are NOT Ideal anyone know a reliable make for when I change this one

I have had several jobs this year to take out 3-4 year old Ideal Isars etc. Customers have rather had a new boiler than have Ideal repair them, even on a fixed price repair.

Sadly they have all had experiences such as your family and just say they never want to see or hear of Ideal ever again.

I have replaced them all with the Broag Avanta Plus. Everyone has been over the moon with them.
