Colour settings

I only get the option of 2 or 16 colour setings. What do I need to do to get 256 colours, or 16 or 8 bit colours?

Can you provide more information about your system? Has this always been the case or is it a new problem?

More often than not, it's driver related, so post details of your system and card and we'll try and point you to the correct one

Its windows 98 with a 1.25MHz processor. The graphics card is a 64 MB NVIDIA. Ive just re formatted to get rid of lots of junk/spyware etc.
When reloading the operating system it didn't ask for the video card cd. On the device manager, under Display adapters, it says Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA), however, the card I put in plugs into the AGP port.

Windows 98 will do this if it doesn't have acces to the correct driver. If you don't have the driver disk for the card, you can download them from here. Just select the card and operating system. The drivers tend to cover a large range of card, so the download will probably be big.
