Coloured indicator lamps- recolouring

When the orange colour flakes off, I end up changing them for new, so now I have a drawer full of them. Back in the 80's, I remember painting them with the translucent yellow paint sold to paint headlights, to go to France, which also eventually peeled off - but is there a better way these days?

I probably change around 10 to 20 a year for being incorrect colour, still cheaper than a small pot of paint. I change lots more for not working.

Not even worth the effort to repaint them

They have offset pins and are specifically for cars with clear indicators. No good for replacing standard 21W parallel pin bulbs. Try eBay number 256178509031.
