hi .very recently during big freeze time thieves took my gas meter off from outside wall.they switched gas off and cut the meter off.we noticed in the morning when we saw centrel heating off.boiler has been running without gas all night.we have new meter in place now but every time we turn the hot tap upstairs it switches boiler off.when we open tap downstairs in kitchen no problem.everything is working fine.boiler is chaffateux .any idea what could be wrong.

i can not see haveing you meter stolen affecting your boiler as it should lock out with no gas going to it but chaffateux are not the best boilers

sounds like you may have problem with divert or flow switch
most likely the flow

downstairs in kitchen where boiler is we have no problem when open sink tap.why it is happing upstairs when tap is on.first two or three minutes you get hot water and then a bit of cold water and then it goes off.

whats the flow like upstairs compared to down?
downstairs flow is normal and fine.when tap is opened upstairs it starts with hot water flow normal then flow goes cold and then boiler goes off.it gived different codes ie,14,50,60,80.

sorry mate a little bit miss qoute onboiler problem.what is happining is when we open tap upstairs in bath, boiler does divert hot water to hot tap but efter about two minutes flame goes out an cold water keeps running normal flow.this only happens upstairs in bath room.downstairs in kitchen we have no problem with hot water.
boiler is britny combi se.
as you mentioned above about divert valve or flow switch, are these parts expensive to replace .can someone with good knowledge of diy do these replacements by themselves.
