My gas ran out at the meter and now the combi boiler wont light after i put credit back in the gas meter i have ran the tap a few times to no avale

it has a round red plastic circle in the middle of the white facia panel with a black triangle in the middle of the red plastic circle.

Maybe turning off the mains for three minutes may reset it if you cannot find the correct method.

Sometimes its not marked but the on/off marked "O" and "I" has a third unmarked spring loaded reset position.

could it not be that the gas supply to the boiler needs purging has the gas meter ran out of gas it was on a card meter, and has been off for 5 days.

dont reconize that fascia are you sure it is a vaillant? how old is it ?
