hi, weve got a ravenheat csi 85t, all looks ok, but at morning startup it tries to start a few times before it stays on, if i run hot water at this time it stays on ok, afternoon start up seams ok, any ideas please, condensation trap is ok and 3 way valve works when switching to hot water, igniter looks to work ok, dunno.

This model seems to feature disproportionately on this forum.

An intermittent failure to light would normally be a relatively minor matter possibly something that would not have arisen if you had the boiler serviced regularly.

Alternative it might be as a result of moisture or condensation in view of what you have described. It might take a more competent engineer to work out why this happens.

Pilot injector has to be spotlessly clean on this horrible beast also ign box on gas valve is prone to failure
 
Theres a few things it could be but my 50p says that the fan is stiffening up a bit. Take your 13 screws off and give the fan motor a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the top bearing then give it a blart with some wd40. If this works you usually have anywhere between 3 weeks and a year before your fan gives up the ghost completely
