The house main CU trip went off this morning as i assume someone went for a shower.
I reset the trip and all was well.
Then realised we had no hot water. The boiler was not firing up. Error code C1 low fan speed.( WB Greenstar 25HE combi)
Would the fan failing be likely cause as it tripped the main fuse? None of the PCB fuses blew. No fan seems to be coming on so it ain't going to fire up.
Is this a likely cause?

I checked the white and blue wires on fan connector and there is 240 volts across them.

post reply if none fuse blew then it may be some thing else what triped the switch on rcd

Well for anyone following i can confirm it was the fan which simply blew up. I assume a straight short tripped the main RCB.
The boiler is 4 years old and the fan was £120!!

It took 2 minutes to fit so i saved myself a potential £+++ call out fee from a gas safe "engineer".

If the boilers were made to last then this intervention could be avoided.
