hello all

I was hoping for some advice to corroborate what my architect is advising.

Thanks in advance.

If you have existing planning permission for the extension, how did you show it with the proposed new roof joining a gable that is not actually there yet?

The issue is that the planning approval was granted based on the information (e.g. drawing) submitted at the time. So potentially, if the loft conversion was built first then the approved drawing is inaccurate and the decision compromised.

The same principle applies if the extension was to be built first.

It may not be an issue, and no-one may care, but if the works are contentious or neighbours are busy bodies, then if planners do get involved then it may become an issue.
