Combo boiler hot water dial doesn't reduce hot water temperature

I've a Worcester greenstar highflow 440 combi boiler approx 7 years old. The hot water temp from the tap is scalding and reducing the boiler dial makes no difference at all to the water temp. The
Boiler is covered by a BG annual service plan. Any ideas what may be causing this issue and is it worth calling out BG to take a look?
