Compact drill driver

I've seen a few of these compact drill drivers and impact drivers. I quite fancy something like this for general duties rather than wielding the 18v. How do they rate for power? Are they much lighter? (Compared to something like an 18v LXT Makita)

I've used the driver version (hex fitting), it's quite powerful enough for screwing (easily handles a 4x75).

The forward/reverse switch on those 10.8V units is really badly positioned, though. Constantly getting caught when using the drill. Really annoying for my builder (big hands), and I have problems enough with it with smaller hands.
