Hi all.

I have a porch opening 1230mm x 2400mm and would like a composite door with a top-light but no side light. The company i'm looking at does a max door width of 1016mm. Would it be ok to add a 2x4 frame to either side of the porch, which is screwed to the wall, and then fit the new composite door inside this??

Yes you could do that and cover it with a plastic trim or moulding or speak to your supplier of the door they make addons that you screw into the frame either side for your exsact situation
