Hi, I am replacing my old uPVC front door with a new composite door with a new frame. The old frame just sits straight on the floor but the new frame is different. I'm not sure if the new frame needs to sit ontop of a separate sill, or whether I can sit it directly onto the floor like the old one. It looks as though it's been manufactured with a integral, low profile, aluminium threshold.
I hope it doesn't need an external sill as I don't have much vertical height to play with, perhaps 20mm if absolutely needed....

If you've got enough clearance to open the door over things like carpets, then yes the threshold can be fitted direct to floor ( silicone under it though) , make sure any water that hits the door ' runs ' away from the door frame
