Afternoon all,
I recently bought a Neos smartcam and the external enclosure for use on the front of my house for security purposes. My intent would be to mount it to the bottom of the ground floor soffits (Using lingo here that I'm not sure is correct, its the little roof thing over the front door and bay window)
The camera itself is wifi, but has what feels like the worlds longest 2.5mm diameter usb power cable which ends at a usb plug. I was intending to run the power cable from the camera to the garage door and through the natural gap in garage door since it is rarely opened.
However the cable on the front of the house, would be 1.0-1.5m long and would be very visible with it being white and the house being regular red brick and beige mortar. Ideally I'd like to conceal it for cosmetic and anti vandalism reasons.
My skill at DIY is pretty low and whilst we own the house, I'm not confident in drilling holes through exterior bricks.
Any suggestions on how I could do this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advice,
Kev
