Hi All,

Just started digging out for retaining wall foundations and have found an 'unexpected' waste pipe (it isn't running the sensible route to next inspection chamber!).

The photo shows as far as I'm going into the bank at that depth, there is a shuttered step up going in next to continue the run at required depth. The old slabs are to just propped to stop me shoving a pick or shovel through it! Would it be ok to pour the concrete as it is, ie alongside and half over/under the pipe, or should I shutter around it to keep it surrounded by pea gravel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Paul.

Do not bury drain pipes in foundations.

Either resite your foundations away from the drain, or start looking into the possibility of relaying the drain out of your foundation zone.
