Concrete and body filler

Pics later..... short story, poured a concrete windowsill in situ because it seemed like a good idea and because I could. Underside and face are OK, top surface is a bit rubbish. It's going to get painted anyway, any reason I shouldn't fill the 'imperfections' with car body filler then sand and paint? (If there were gross holes I'd use mortar but we're talking little divots and general roughness, bit too rough to be successfully filled with masonry paint). Ta

What about brushing on some cement slurry? But body filler should work.

The filler may work but the sanding is likely to leave a friable non-weathering surface.

Cheers both and valid point about sanding, plus I think the concrete would not do my DA sander any favours. The top surface would probably be OK- the whole surface is rubbish so the whole surface would get filler on it- but the holes and divots elsewhere might be more of an issue.
After I posted I remembered I have half a bag of crap SLC from one of the sheds- that might be a better bet, will give it a go and see what happens. And no pics yet- it was hoofing it down when I got back there this afternoon Maybe tomorrow.....
