i am digging out and filling with concrete 4 holes which are a base for a kiddies activity centre. can i use a concrete drymix - do i add water ?-or leave to the elements. There are brackets which are attached to the bottom of the activity centre which need to be embedded in the concrete :?:
any thoughts on the project are welcomed
thanks

I would use 3/4 Ballast sand + cement + water ! Ratio 3:1

This will be a lot stronger than concrete drymix as the swing need to be solid at the base and free from any movement. When pouring concrete in the hole, poke it with a stick to force out the trapped air.

Make sure the hole is deep enough at least 3" to 4" from the bottom of the bracket so the bracket is bedded inside the concrete. Deeper the hole the better which will protect it from heavy rain movement.

If you want to speed up the progess you can buy Fast Rapid Cement.
