I ain’t got time to smash half a Gardner’s worth of concrete with a sledge hammer

Sort of.
Domestic- No.
Available for hire? Yes

A small crusher can get around the back of a house but makes the hell of a lot of noise. To be efficient you'd need to get most of the stuff up in advance and have a team of mates chucking it in

It won't be cheap especially if you factor in a day out for your neighbours.

Maybe I will just lay it all in flat. Compact it and use type 1 ? On top of it for about 50mm. Will that be doing the same job anyway?

If there's many slabs/bricks, you can sell them, or at the very least give them away
