Concrete paint effect on MDF

Hi I recently went into a trendy BoConcept shop in Liverpool and on the wall they had this cool MDF panels which looked like concrete. I remember seeing something very similar on grand designs once. I asked for it in the shop but apparently it is from Denmark and is only used in commercial installations. So I was wondering if anyone had any tips for recreating the look?

Looks like floor anti-slip paint or texture 'suede' emulsion ..
Try mixing some very fine sand into grey emusion :wink:
 
Thanks for the tip, but it's not really the sandy texture I'm after, more the random white and brown stained, mottled look, as below. The crown suede stuff looksinteresting but they seem to be mostly pale colours, any other ideas? Thanks
