Has anyone had a problem with the condensate trap on the above boiler. Whenever there is subzero temps. The condensate trap fills and prevents boiler startup. This trap has a blue ball float. When the trap is emptied boiler starts ok. The boiler is aprox. 18 months old. Any suggestions??

How do you empty the trap? is it the kind of thing a novice can do? We havethe error 04 on our boiler have checked the pressure and made sure nothing is frozen but still no joy so I suspect it is something to do with the trap. I did unscrew it put it seemed as though a flow of water was coming through so had to put it back on!
Any advise would be appreciated
