Last night we had a lot of condensation on our double glazed windows. We had our normal central heating on and had the opty mist on flame effect only. We have had the fire two weeks and not had this problem before. Any one any ideas or solutions please?

That's how the world works.

I have no idea how much water vapour these things introduce into the room but obviously it has to go somewhere and that will be the cool/cold windows and walls.

Was it colder last night or have you been breathing, bathing, cooking, washing and drying clothes more than usual yesterday?

Or wiping up water and leaving soggy cloth somewhere to dry?

The only way to have no condensation is to remove water vapour from the premises - difficult.
