Getting some condensation during last weeks colder weather, running my fingers over the felt inside the roof can feel slightly damp and in places, the roof joists show a slight darkening where felt meets them. In the apex at the front of my house seeing some damp issues, not sure if these are condensation related (see images).

Have just gone up in my roof and pulled back the fibreglass insulation that was blocking ventilation around the eaves. Also planning on adding vents to the soffit board.

As you can see the gable end detail at the front of the house has a very small amount of guttering on one side and barely any on the other.

Question: Given the lack of soffit would roof vents also be a good idea in the gable at the front of the property?

Question: If I do need to add more vents was considering felt lap vents. Would these be OK the felt seems pliable (not too many holes) and not overly brittle?

Question: Am planning to add more insulation, the centre of the loft is boarded out with insulation underneath the boards and to each side. Is it sensible just to add either side of the boarding out or is this, just pointless?
