Hi All,

Just fitting new ceiling fanlight, old to new wiring colours.
viewed the Wiki page,

3 cables (loop)
this is my completed input set-up,

3 live red into NEW chock box
LNE
3 earths bare copper into Earth (now sheathed)
2 neutral black into Neutral
1 switch 3rd black into live. (confirmed as correct)

(output pre-wired on LNE)

on another forum and NOT shown on the wiki diagram
(just double checking to be sure)

Once you have determined which of the black wires is the 'switch wire', you can connect it to the live terminal on the new fitting,>>> connect a wire between the neutral on the fitting to the two black wires in the rose<<<<

Its the, connect a wire...........ROSE,
Thats throwing me

Should i read Rose as LNE,
so is the wire referred too for a NON pre-wired output LNE.

Thanks in advance

Roy

Not sure I understand your confusion.

The rose is the ceiling connections of Live loop, Switched live, Neutral and Earth.

Your new light has L for switched live, N for neutral and E for earth.
You will need another connector block for the Live loop of three reds.

Hi EFL,
thanks for the reply,
3 cables coming out of roof void
There is not a Rose as such anymore just these,
the LNE block in the new light
and a seperate extra chock box/connecter block added by me for the 3 live reds .
(both wired as above ---correctly:?: Y/N)
like image apart from switched live (black not red)
the out connections from the LNE to the light/fan came pre-wired, so no worries there:)

its this part of his reply

connect a wire between the neutral on the fitting to the 2 black wires on the rose,
is this the LNE out im good.
