I have a detached garage that is 2m from my house. The garage is 2.3m high from the floor of the garage. The house level is 2 feet higher as it's sloping ground with the garage cut into the slope. The garage is around 1 foot from the property boundary.
I am having a new roof put on and wanted it raised at the same time. The roofer suggested 2 foot would be fine. Planning says 3m is OK unless it's 2 metres from the boundary (which it is) in which case it can only be 2.5 metres.
Anyone know for sure what I can do? Part of me wondered whether I can get away with it because it is sloping ground... The wall at the boundary side is starting at the correct ground level but approaching the house is 2 foot lower than house ground level!
Appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks
Graham
