Im going to buy a new shower pump tomorrow but not certain which one I should buy, my local plumbing shop said I should have one capable of supplying 2 units as Im using it for the bath and shower but both the shower and bath taps wont be running together so do I really need on capable of supplying 2 units.

Whats are your thoughts?

Be very careful before taking advice from the guy behind the counter of your local plumbing shop :? Do you plan to use the shower & bath at the same time?

If your bath takes ages to fill up, you could have other problems with the system design that no pump will ever cure & it’s very difficult to advise without knowledge of the system you currently have.

The reason why the bath takes so long to fill when we bought the bath, the wife wanted these particular taps, but they were only for 1 bar, we had to have a pump for the shower so I said we'd just run the bath off the pump as well - that was 3 years ago.

Now the pump has died and needs replacing, the bath and shower would never be run together, and I just found exactly the same tap for the basin which requires 0.1 bar if I can find the same for the bath then no I wouldnt need to pump the bath - I think I've answered my own question :)
