I moved into my house last year and am contemplating the chnages to the front garden.

The one thing I am concerned about is the proximity of a conifer tree to the house (about 1.5m) and to the main drains (less than 1m). The tree is about 6m high and I am wondering if there are any problems with the house foundation and dains.

Would it be advisable to remove the tree - I am thinking that it should come out.

I would like a non-coniferous tree in the garden further from the house, probably on a dwarf root stock. Do yoy have any suggestions?

Thanks

I would play safe and remove it because it would be very expensive to repair your drains or foundations should the worst happen. It's called pro-active maintenance.
