Connect a shower hose to a 28mm tap

So, I have a tap in my bathroom that has a thread diameter of 28mm. It generally fits the 28mm aerators.

However, I want to attach a shower hose to it, and I searched for days for something that I can screw into that tap, other than an aerator. A BSP 3/4" male thread seemed close enough, so I bought that, but it is still about 1.5mm too narrow.

It drives me crazy that nothing apart from those 28mm aerators would fit it. I am now considering buying this aerator and somehow smashing a 3/4"x1/2" BSP adapter in it.

Please tell me that there is a simple option that I somehow failed to recognise.

Hm. Well, I just bought 1" male to 1/2" female adaptor and the male is 33mm as I was afraid. I'd really appreciate if you could elaborate your suggestion. As in, which measurement standard the 1" is (BSP I guess) and what actual part of the bush measures 1". The one that had '1"' in its name is quite too big.
Thanks

may have something suitable

If your shower hose can fall below the overflow level of the bath then you'll need to fit a double check valve to prevent back siphonage and possible contamination of the water supply.
The reason I don't want to use their option is because it is quite expensive for what its offering. I admit that I have probably spent now an equivalent amount of money on all these numerous adapters, but it becomes a matter of principle now. I can't believe that 28mm tap size fits only 28mm aerators and them alone.
Thanks for pointing that out though.
