connecting a combi

I have a gloworm combi boiler.It's not been connected to the hot water.And we are still using an emersion heater for that.I've been quoted £1000 to conect it all up.Would i make a great saving?On an average size two bedroom house.

The quck answer would be yes. Your combination boiler heats up the water as you use it and therefore doesn't require a store of hot water.... Much more efficient..... However, I would never pay, or charge some-one £1000 to connect it. All that needs done is, cold mains to domestic inlet of boiler, and run pipework from h/w outlet to existing draw-off at cylinder.....
