Connecting coax to roof ariel

Just about to put an new ariel up to get freeview.
Just a query about the wiring. Do I wrap the outer wire around outer plastic and clamp on top of it. Or trim it back under the outer plastic. Happy were the inner wire goes.

Do it like this, but apply the theory to the other end.

He's shown you how to connect the plug at the TV end. Are you asking how to connect it at the aerial?
