Hi, I've got a flexible pipe connector, pushfit at one end and standard screw on at the other. I'm about to connect it up to the pipe coming out of the bottom of the cistern. The pipe coming out of the cistern is plastic. The pushfit connects to the cold water supply, the other end will be connected to the plastic cistern pipe. Do i have to add silicon or similar before connecting to the plastic pipe or will the washer in the top of the flexible pipe connector be sufficient?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

The washer is sufficient, dont over tighten though. Screw up hand tight and add 1/4 turn.

one other question.....the soil pipe that connects to the WC...i've using one of those flexible ones...again - should i used selant on both ends, either end or no sealant at all?

Thanks
