Hi all, I am putting in a new soil pipe and have got to the connecting to the existing part and am unsure of the best way to go about it. Could really use some advice. Cheers.
I would try and slot a junction into the horizontal section if there's room, (you'll need to allow sufficient space to get a slip coupling in too), measure up and see if that's doable before cutting anything. May also need to chop out some of the mortar around the pipe going through the wall to slide the junction up to achieve the right position to accept the new horizontal run coming in.
If that's not an option, then you'll have to connect into the vertical section, but means using more bends to make the connection, ideally the fewer bends the better.
