Hi

I am fitting some new bonding clamps to some plumbing I've just done and was wondering if I could use those crimp on connections (like you use on a car battery) instead of just using the bared wire ends. It appears to me that this would provide a much better clamping effect.

If crimping would be an issue, how about soldered?

Cheers

there is nothing wrong with folding the earth round the screw, but crimps can be used. make sure you have the proper crimping tool.

What pipes are you earthing?? You may find you don't need to earth them at all. So many people seem to see a pipe and earth it! It's all most compulsive

If it's copper plumbing (shouldn't both those words be replaced with "cupring"?

), it's a shame you didn't use those fittings with the integral socket to solder in a bonding cable....
