I am getting the concrete for my conservatory next weekend, and with the help of 3 others going to get it laid down.

What I am going to do first, (correct me if I am wrong)

1) Put a bed of sand ontop of the type 1,
2) Polythene shet op top of that.
3) get 3 9 foot of 2.5 inch square downpipe to go from the house airbricks to the ones I have put into the conservatory wall. The airbricks are 8 inches wide, so I will need 3 lengths side by side (I will have to get 6 in total as I have 2 airbricks to do) These will be optop of the polythene as I have been advised the polythene should be level.

I am doing this this afternoon/tomorrow morning. It is number 3 I am only 80% sure of.

I will be left with 6 - 8 inches for the concrete. The size is 9 foot deep and 22 foot wide by 8 inches. I am ordering 4 square metres of concrete.

Thanks

Bob

I don't think the rainwater downpipe will be up to the job, we always use 110mm underdrainage pipe. The air vent pipe is normally in the hardcore section under the dpc level.
