Hi all,
My grandparents has a conservatory built about 4yrs ago, the gas meter (which used to be outside but is now inside due to the location of the conservatory)is also in the conservatory. We currently have 2 mains smoke alarms in the bungalow in hallways but if there was a fire in the conservatory, (should there be a reason why the doors where left open) by the time the smoke got from there to the smoke alarm, it may be too dangerous to evacuate So my main question is what alarms should i get for the room? (It gets cold, although there is a oil filled heater and hot like all conservatory's should that change any decision)Heat or smoke alarm and should there be a co2 if the gas meter is in there? Thank you

The carbon monoxide sensor to to check combustion problems from gas appliances in the room, ie gas fire, cooker, boiler not to check gas leaks from meter or the pipe work to a device. So if no gas burning device in the conservatory then no need for a CO sensor.

I cant comment on your layout and how the smoke would travel from the conservatory to the nearest smoke detector/ fire alarm.

Not sure why you believe the conservatory is such a high risk area.

if like most conservatory's I see there a brick wall and a closed door between the conservatory and the main building, I cant see a fire starting in the conservatory and easily spreading to the house, if the conservatory is open plan with the adjacent room then an optical smoke may be enough in the adjacent room.(ie conservatory doors left open between the conservatory and the house).

You would need a site visit to assess the risk properly and the local fire brigade may offer you free advice on this and they install smoke detectors for vulnerable people for free in most cases.
