Hi all, i installed a Wickes conservatory about 8 years ago. I put in the foundations and built the dwarf wall, then put up the timber frame etc.

In the last couple of years, the whole thing has moved 5-8mm away from the house. The floor to wall connection is now a gap... and the floor and wall beneath the dpc is 5mm away from where it was..

Bottom line... should i be worried? should i get proffesional help/advice?

It doesn't look like a regular movement and we have had an earthquake last year.... plus my garden is about 4ft above the path next door.... should i worry? my foundations were bigger than recommmended!

Ta.

Localised movement is not unusual particularly if it is simply differential movement.

Thanks noseall. But what does differential movement mean? Is that where the conservatory moves, but the house doesn't?
