Considerations whilst the ceiling is down...

Hi all,

I am currently in the middle of my own renovation project on my first home. I currently am in the process of removing all the old blown plaster and have all the ceilings downs.

Whilst at this point, I'm after some ideas / considerations for what to put in the ceiling whilst its down... I've attached backboxes to the wall to run some Cat5 cabling for networking purposes.

Any ideas that may be useful would be great.

Alarm cables in case you eventually want to have motion sensors etc

Insulation to prevent sound transfer.

Smoke alarm cable and alarms.

Ceiling mounted WiFi.

Neutrals and deep backboxes on light switches.

Alarm cables to doors etc to put sensors on.

PIR's in ceilings for smart home lights.

Re -wire and re-plumb. I also filled the joists with insulation, much warmer and quiter.
