Evening everyone.
Im looking for some advice in regards to constructional hearths.
At the minute we have had 125mm of concrete poured for our new slab. This is due to be covered with 50mm Kingspan and then 75mm screed with underfloor heating.

We are wanting to put a log burner in. In terms of the hearth, would I be correct to not put the insulation down in that area and instead just fill that area with the screed? In effect making the area under the log burner 125mm thick screed on 125mm concrete?

Hopefully that makes sense.
Thanks
