Control Unit For Cooker

Hi,

I'm redoing my kitchen, and the missus is wanting me to move the Control Unit for the Cooker.

At the moment it is at the height of the worktop next to other sockets. But she doesn't like the big red switch! So do the regs allow me to hide it behind the cupboards or does it have to be where it is?

this is because you should RCD protect your sockets, but not your cooker circuit.

Thanks for all the advice!

The CCU I have is just a single socket size switch (if you know what I mean?)

Anyway, I now know I can't move it where the wife wants it so that suits me! It saves me having to raggle the walls! So I will just replace it for a white switch.

JohnD I thought of replacing the Wife, but she wouldn't go
