cooker circuit safe zone

Bit of a numpty question here but its my 1st ever first fix. On the cooker circuit the cooker isolator is 300mm from the edge of the cooker hob. How do you keep within the safe zones when running in the cable from the load side of the isolator to the connector unit which will be mounted behind the cooker and takes it out of the zone. Have I missed something here?

1) 300mm is too close.

2) Go down vertically until you reach the height of the outlet plate, then horizontally.

Thanks for the replies, got myself confused with the safe zones, all cleared up now.
