Morning All,
Been trying ato do as much of a complete refurb of my flat myself as possible.
To save costs Ive been running, chasing and first fixing as much of the rewire as possible.
Quick question about the cooker circuit - I'm keeping the circuit in, 6mm cable with isolator above cooker running to own fuse at CU.
The previous cooker was hardwired behind the cooker, however the new smeg fressstanding duel fuel cooker comes with a 13a plug attached.
Thinking forward what would be the best appraoch:
1) Switch the front panel behind the cooker for a single socket and plug cooker straight in? If so, will it have to be a special single socket (to take load and 6mm cable) or will a bog standard one do?
2) Chop off the plug and get the electrican to hardwire without changing anything...this might void warranty tho...
Any advice?
