I need to feed a cooker and hob. Plan is 6/10mm feed from ceiling in 50mm plastic duct down through gap between wall & cabinet, through back of cabinet to adjacent wall mounted oven rated switch (no 13A skt).

To feed the hob which is 6 cable metres away (in plastic duct, again with ring and lighting cables), can I just divide from oven switch unit so this switches both or continue on main feed to hobs own wall mounted switch. Only advantage I can see is they are independantly switched.

Anything out of regs. for either arrangement? Thanks.

Keep right on to the end of the road,
Keep right on to the end,
Tho' BS7671:2008 may be long, let your heart be strong,
Keep right on past Approved Document Part P at the bend
Tho' you're tired and weary still journey on,
Till you risk putting a deathtrap in your once happy abode,
Where the refurbished kitchen you've been dreaming of
Will be there at the end of the road.
