Im installing an ikea kitchen and have purchased a single oven from them rated at 2.3KW.
The current kitchen arangement has the cooker circuit on a 45a breaker, with 6mm cable running to the cooker switch and then down to cooker outlet plate.
I propose to replace the cooker switch with a 20a dp switch http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp;jsessionid=NSTT4ELWLX3S2CSTHZOSFFY?id=91698&ts=87758
down to a double socket behind the oven to which i will plug in the hob ignition with a 3a fuse. and the oven itself with a 13a fused plug.
Would this arrangement be acceptable?
